What Do You Do When......?

I need to vent...... I presume that anyone with kids will sympathize, but if you don't sympathize....t-o-u-g-h! I am pissed!!

I tried to spend a day working today. I had documents to prepare for a major proposal due tomorrow. It's enough that today I've had to deal with adults who seem to be totally incapable of making even the smallest freaking decision at work, but I also had to deal with the kids and their sh*t. It starts with a teen who can't clean up after himself in the kitchen. No matter how much you mention it, ask, or show him, he still doesn't always clean his dishes at all, or if he does, he doesn't do it thoroughly. Somehow it's a major event to get those dishes cleaned or properly rinsed and placed in the washer. Every bloody morning I find silverware or more in the sink, and in the afternoons I usually find something in the sink from after-school snacks. There are few things that will throw me into a tizzy and piss me off like coming down in the morning to a sink with dirty dishes in it.

Then the other one waits till just before dinner to inform us that there's something she needs for bedtime tonight. Her response to why she waited until the last possible moment to tell us: "I forgot." So now one of us has to go to the store after dinner. Peachy, ain't it?

A person just wants to go find a rail road track to scream under, you know?
